The letter R in the “Forgiving Challenge” acronymn (“SCARS” = Sin, Confession, Absolution, Restoration, Sanctification) is for Restoration. Restoration is an extremely important concept in the pattern of forgiving, but it often gets left out (even among Christians!) becaue we get obsessed with prescribing new behaviors for the forgiven person. This morning we’ll see just how important Restoration is - and thank God that He includes that concept when He forgives us!
